Springer hosts open access event

Half-day event for Academic Book Week

Springer Nature is to mark the start of Academic Book Week with a free event - as befits the subject - exploring open access.

The event takes place on the afternoon of Monday 23 April at Springer's HQ at King's Cross.

The speakers will include:

Professor Owen Davies, history professor at the University of Hertfordshire
Professor Maureen Mackintosh, economics, Open University
Dr Roseli Pellens, Institut de Systematique, Evolution, Biodiversite, Paris
Hannah Hope, open research co-ordinator at the Wellcome Trust
Tim Britton, managing director of open research at Springer Nature
Ros Pyne, head of policy and development in open research, Springer Nature
Martijn Roelandse, head of publishing innovation at Springer Nature
Christina Brian, editorial director, politics & international studies, Palgrave Macmillan
Stephen Partridge, editorial director, business, economics and finance, Palgrave Macmillan

The event will close with an evening drinks and networking session.
