Prize for Scottish crime novel

The McIlvanney Prize 2017 is open for entries. Named in honour of William McIlvanney, the prize is for a crime novel by a writer who was born in Scotland, is living in Scotland, or has set his or her book in Scotland. The closing date is 28 April.

The prize ceremony will take place at the Bloody Scotland festival on 8 September.

The 2016 winner was Chris Brookmyre.
