Thames & Hudson to distribute as packager switches to UK trade

Elwin Street Productions has announced a sales and distribution partnership with Thames & Hudson, in a move that signals an expansion into the trade. Elwin Street was founded as a coedition packager 13 years ago by former Quarto sales director Silvia Langford.

From 1 July, Thames & Hudson will distribute ESP titles in the UK and ANZ markets under Elwin Street's new trade imprint, Modern Books. The imprint will publish illustrated non-fiction across a range of categories.

Langford said: "We are excited to be partnering with one of the world's leading illustrated publishers. The quality of Thames and Hudson's publishing and the reach of their international distribution fits perfectly with our ambitious plans for Modern Books."

The move will not affect Elwin Street's activities in the US or Canada, where it will continue to license coeditions for its entire list.
