Competition for unpublished crime writers

The Crime Writers' Association (CWA) is calling for entries to its 2018 Debut Dagger competition.

The Debut Dagger is open to writers who have not had traditional publishing contracts for their work. It offers a £500 cash prize.

Entrants should submit openings to their novels of no more than 3,000 words, along with synopses of up to 1,000 words. The deadline is 28 February 2018, and the entry fee is £36.
