Victoria Barnsley, CEO of HarperCollins, has just returned from India, where she had been due to stay at Mumbai's Taj Hotel on the night of the terrorist attacks. She changed her itinerary at the last minute. Kip Bertram, founder of Bertrams, was staying at the Taj just a few days before the attacks took place.
Other HC news includes the presence there of Minna Fry, former Bloomsbury Marketing Director. She is working on various editorial projects, and covering for Arabella Pike, who is on maternity leave, and for Paul Baggaley, who has joined Picador.
