Story competition rolls on

The Global Short Story Competition , run by County Durham-based communications company Certys, has passed more than £2,500 in prize money awarded.

The competition awards a monthly first prize of £100, with £25 for a runner-up. Crime novelist John Dean, Certys director and competition administrator, said: 'We know from the feedback that we receive that our writers appreciate the boost that success in the competition gives them.'
