The shortlist for the Sheridan Morley Prize has been announced. Now in its second year, the prize celebrates 'excellence and originality' in a theatre biography, autobiography or diary. This year's judging panel is chaired by Morley's widow Ruth Leon, and includes last year's winner Dominic Dromgoole, Patricia Hodge and Christopher Sinclair-Stevenson. The winner will be announced on May 5 at the Garrick Club and will receive a cash award of £2,000. (Stage story, via Book2Book.)
