50 works by author of Where the Wild Things Are

The Jewish Museum in London is to host an exhibition devoted to the work of Maurice Sendak, author of Where the Wild Things Are, from 25 July to 10 November.

Visitors will be able to explore a magical forest, travel across the sea in protagonist Max's private boat, and take part in a wild rumpus.

The exhibition will feature 50 works by Sendak (1928-2012), among them an art project created when he was 16, and watercolours for the set design of the Where the Wild Things Are opera.
