Random House US completes reorganisation

In New York, Gina Centrello, President and Publisher of Random House Inc, and Sonny Mehta, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of the Knopf Doubleday Group, have sent long memos to colleagues, outlining the structural changes at the company forecast before Christmas by Random House Publishing Group Chairman and CEO Markus Dohle. At Random House Inc, the restructuring has led to the elimination of a number of positions, but both Mehta and Centrello assured staff that all moves were now complete and it was business as usual - though as Mehta of course noted, 'the year ahead promises to be a challenging one'.
