Guests celebrate with the agency - in spite of competing attractions

A few guests mysteriously cried off at the last minute, but the modestly sized Academy Club was still packed and buzzing last night, while England were losing to Croatia, as PEW Literary held a summer drinks party and celebrated Margaret Halton's arrival at the agency. Among the throng were authors Naoke Abe and Rick Stroud, scout Daniela Schlingmann, and publishers Sharmaine Lovegrove (Dialogue Books), her recently arrived Hachette colleague Saskia Bewley, Charlotte Greig (Open Road), Lisa Highton (Two Roads), and Juliet Annan (Fig Tree).
