Kerri Major's The Dietitian Kitchen to be 2020 lead title for specialist sports publisher
Meyer & Meyer has acquired worldwide rights to the The Dietitian Kitchen. Martin Meyer, Meyer & Meyer Sport UK's managing director, said: "One look at Kerri's instagram page (@the_dietitian_kitchen) was enough for us to know that the concept would translate over to the printed page. And not only translate but excel! We've very exciting plans for this title which will be released simultaneously in the UK and the US in January 2020.
"This book is a breath of fresh air. It recognises that readers are quite capable of taking on board the science of nutrition. Once armed with that knowledge, and suitably encouraged and inspired by Kerri to eat well and exercise in simple, affordable, enjoyable ways - it becomes a life changer."
According to the acquisition statement: 'The Dietitian Kitchen: Nutrition for a Healthy, Strong, and Happy You isn't another celebrity fad diet - quite the opposite. It is written by someone nutritionally qualified and passionate about sharing the foundations of nutrition and giving readers the knowledge they need to nourish their bodies appropriately.
'Its refreshing approach will appeal to anyone who wants to know how to nourish the mind, body, and soul by eating well and keeping active. The book includes more than ninety recipes, providing readers with healthy, simple, affordable, and delicious meal ideas to best fuel their day - as well as some sweet treat ideas for the soul. Each comes with an explanation from the author on why she likes it and why it's good for you.'
Major said: "I feel so unbelievably privileged to be given the opportunity to share my philosophy on healthy eating and exercise with a wider audience. I'm incredibly excited with Meyer & Meyer's plans for the book and can't wait to see it out there!" She is a registered dietitian, senior sports dietitian and qualified personal trainer.
