The award will 'encourage writers aged 18-26 in the development of their artistic practice'
The Irish Writers Centre has announced a new award sponsored by the centre's ambassador Marian Keyes (right). The award is designed to "encourage young writers aged 18-26 in the development of their artistic practice." It consists of two bursaries, offered up to 30 June.
The €500 bursaries are to assist in attending IWC professional development training, attending literary festivals, and attending other events that offer literary networking opportunities. They are open to aspiring young writers living anywhere on the island of Ireland. The application deadline is 4pm on Monday 18 February.
