Head of Zeus imprint acquires two titles by bestselling romantic novelist via Darley Anderson
Bestselling author Mandy Baggot has signed a two-book deal with Aria. Hannah Smith, commissioning editor at Aria, bought World English Language rights from Tanera Simonds and The Darley Anderson Agency.
Baggot, winner of the Innovation in Romantic Fiction award at the UK’s Festival of Romance, was most recently published by Penguin Random House.
The first book, One Last Greek Summer, will be published in ebook this June and paperback in July and, according to the acquisition statement, 'tells the story of Beth Martin, who following her divorce returns to Corfu where she partied away her youth, and meets up with Alex Hallas, the man she has never quite forgotten...'
One Christmas Star will follow in September in eBook, and print in November 2019.
Baggot (pictured) said: "I am beyond thrilled to be joining Aria Fiction. They have had some fantastic successes over the past twelve months and I am so excited to be collaborating with such a dynamic and passionate team. Aria is going to be the perfect home for my new novels."
Smith said: "I’ve been a massive Mandy Baggot fan for years, she’s one of my go-to authors for a beach and Christmas read, so to be publishing Mandy is very much a dream. She’s such a talented author, I can’t wait to introduce readers to her new characters."
