'A French Audacity of Hope'

Henry Rosenbloom at Scribe has bought world English rights to Emmanuel Macron's Revolution. Scribe bought the rights at auction from Roxana Cristina Zaharia at XO Editions, which published the book in French in November last year.

Publishers in the Netherlands and Spain have also bought Revolution, the recently elected French president's memoir and political testament.

Rosenbloom said: "I'm thrilled to have acquired this book. I see it as a French Audacity of Hope - a very well-written, compelling memoir and statement of values by an important political leader who has rapidly become the flag-bearer for a new kind of politics."

Scribe will commission the English-language translation, and will publish the book "as soon as possible".
