London Book & Screen Week announces 2019 programme highlights

Author talks and films with James Runcie, Holly Bourne, Lucy Worsley and others


James Runcie, Holly Bourne, Lucy Worsley, Dian Pelangi, Sarah Morgan, Nicola Cornick and Dr Michele Mendelssohn will be among the stars of London Book & Screen Week (LBSW), the London Book Fair (LBF) programme of satellite events. Runcie, as previously announced, is LBSW ambassador, and Bourne is Author of the Day at LBF on 14 March.

TUESDAY 12 MARCH
Polari: LBSW Special
Light Lounge, Soho, 6.30pm
London's LGBT+ literary salon, hosted by Paul Burston

Love & Laughter: Celebrating the Best of Rom Com
Soho Hotel, 6.30pm
In association with the Romantic Novelists' Association, and featuring Sarah Morgan and Nicola
Cornick, as well as a film screening

WEDNESDAY 13 MARCH
Grantchester: James Runcie with Daisy Coulam
Soho Hotel, 6.45pm
Runcie is the author of the novels on which the series is based, while Coulam is the lead scriptwriter

THURSDAY 14 MARCH
The Late, Great Queen Victoria

Covent Garden Hotel, 6.30pm
Lucy Worsley and Roya Nikkhah, followed by a screening of The Young Victoria

Holly Bourne
Covent Garden Hotel, 6.45pm

The Rise of the Modest Revolution
Asia House, 6.45pm
Dian Pelangi, Professor Reina Lewis, Kulsum Patel and Raishma Islam on "modest fashion"

FRIDAY 15 MARCH
The Enduring Appeal of Oscar Wilde

Dr Michele Mendelssohn with Paul Burston, followed by a screening of The Happy Prince

SATURDAY 16 MARCH
