As if to mark JRBooks' paperback publication Les Dawson's Secret Notebooks, Tracy Dawson, widow of the late comedian, and daughter Charlotte, recently unveiled Graham Ibbeson's statue of him in the ornamental gardens at St Anne's Pier in his adopted town of Lytham, near Blackpool. The last of many Dawson books, the collection of sketches, scripts and diary extracts was put together by Tracy and Jeremy Robson from 'cupboards-full' of material she found following her husband's death in 1993. 'When she heard I was starting up on my own, she rang to ask if I'd be interested in looking at the material,' Robson - who enjoyed a long publishing association with the comic - told Publishing News last year.
