Interactive posters promote DK humour titles

Nineties throwback Nickelodeon books backed by posters that play show theme tunes when people walk past

DK has linked with ad agency Jack Arts to create an unusual marketing campaign to promote the new humour titles published with Nickelodeon, Rugrats Guide to Adulting and Hey Arnold! Guide to Relationships.

Ten posters interactive posters have been installed across Camden, Hackney, Hammersmith, Fulham, Islington, Southwark and Tower Hamlets sites, running until 6 December. A first for both DK and the agency, 'the posters create an immersive experience with the Nickelodeon branding at the heart; not only are they visually striking but they will play the iconic Nick ‘90s shows theme tunes via a motion sensor.

'These inspiring and humorous books take direct quotes and stills from the popular TV shows to offer advice on the themes of adulthood and relationships. These bold and colourful books evoke a playful nostalgia and are packed with throwbacks to the original animated series.'

Simon Beecroft, publishing director of DK’s licensing division, said: "We're excited to be supporting our millennial-inspired, 90s throwback Nickelodeon books with a promotion to match. DK strives to do things differently and reach readers in new ways, and these interactive posters around London will turn heads and should inspire the odd post on Instagram!"

Both Hey Arnold! Guide to Relationships and Rugrats Guide to Adulting are available now.
