Pinnacle Booksales and SaltWay announce collaboration

Indie sales teams Pinnacle Booksales and SaltWay, led respectively by David Segrue and Chris McLaren, have announced they are joining forces to collaborate over UK and international territories. Under the arrangement, Pinnacle can serve UK accounts for SaltWay and Saltway can offer access to the rest of the world for Pinnacle, thereby creating a 'one-stop sales operation for independent publishers'. The collaboration will officially begin tomorrow.

Both sales teams have a strong relationship with indie warehouse and distribution service Marston Orca, meaning that combined they can offer a 'complete sales and distribution solution' to both UK publishers and international publishers seeking representation and distribution into the English language market. Pinnacle and SaltWay have third party distribution agreements with Independent Publishers Group in North America and NewSouth Books in Australia, covering trade and specialist market sectors in their territories.

Segrue said: "I am delighted to join forces with SaltWay which is adding exciting new publishers to our UK sales portfolio whilst opening up a gateway for our UK client publishers to access increasingly important trade export markets under one banner. It's fantastic to find in SaltWay an international team that will be as focussed on and in love with our clients' books as we are. This is a great step which will both benefit our client publishers and inspire our customers."

McLaren said: "Our alliance with David and his team takes our strategy of being the best around the world in sales, marketing and distribution to a new level; we have a meeting of minds with Pinnacle Booksales and see massive potential in working together that will give great results for our clients and customers. We share many innovative ideas which we are developing together and we believe this will create new momentum and enthusiasm for publishers and customers around the world."
