Headline has signed a new FOUR-BOOK CONTRACT with Jill Mansell, a deal negotiated by agent Jane Judd and Mansell's long-time editor Marion Donaldson. Mansell's novels have sold more than four million copies around the world for Headline, and Rumour Has It spent eight weeks on the Sunday Times hardback bestsellers. Meanwhile, five Mansell titles are scheduled for US publication in the next 18 months, bringing to 21 the number of her overseas publishers.
Donaldson, Fiction Publishing Director at Headline, says: 'I'm thrilled to have a new contract with Jill: not only does she write the most engaging, warm and funny romantic novels in the marketplace, but she's also a joy to work with, and an author who has personally won the hearts of booksellers in the UK and around the world. Headline is very proud to be continuing our long-term relationship with such a star author.'
Judd adds: 'Jill and I are excited to have an on-going relationship with Headline, who are wonderful to work with and who have done so much to develop her as a bestselling and much-loved author.'
