Party at Savoy for evergreen Mog author
HarperCollins held a party at the Savoy last night to celebrate the 95th birthday of Judith Kerr, author and illustrator of classics including the Mog stories and The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

Kerr, who has a new book out this autumn, said that she had told Redmayne that "I seem to be speeding up." Guests at the party, who sang happy birthday when Redmayne brought out her cake, included Kerr's daughter Tacy, as well as John Burningham, Helen Oxenbury, Lauren Child, Joanna Carey and David Walliams. Michael Morpurgo sent a warm message, read by Murtagh, from Scotland.
