Foyles has teamed up with Litro, the literary magazine given out at libraries and London Underground stations, to present a monthly series of readings and music. Litro Live! kicks off on Friday 28 November at 7pm with readings from Sadie Jones, author of The Outcast; Brian Chikawava, whose Caine Prize-winning debut, Harare North, will be published in April; and Xiaolu Guo, author of A Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers.

Bianca Bohl, Kaloudy Kouyate and Joanna Harrop will provide the music, and Alice Lloyd and Mat Huntley will DJ. The event, which will take place in the Cafe at Foyles, is a preview of Litro Live! 2009, which will launch on 15 January and take place on the second Thursday of every month throughout the year. Tickets ( £6/ £5 concessions) will be available on the door.
