Two Hoots launches 'vermin rom com'
Two Hoots (Macmillan Children's) celebrated publication of Emily Gravett's 21st picturebook, Cyril and Pat, at Dean Street Town House.
Suzanne Carnell, who has worked with Gravett since the illustrator's Greenaway-winning debut Wolves, paid tribute to her both as a picture book maker and as a fun person to work with. Cyril and Pat, Carnell told us, was "a vermin rom com with a bit of thriller thrown in".
Guests were Claire Gill (Storystock), Tricia Adams (ex-president of YLG), Miranda McKearney (Empathy Lab), Philippa Milnes-Smith (LAW Agency), Sanchita Basu Sarker (Children's Bookshop in Muswell Hill), and Ferelith Hordon (Books For Keeps). Also from Macmillan were Stephanie Barton, Chris Inns, Helen Weir, Belinda Rasmussen and Amber Ivatt.
