Hardback published today by Bonnier Zaffre; author tour kicks off this week
Daunts Marylebone was the venue on Tuesday night for the launch of Stacey Halls’ much anticipated debut novel The Familiars. Guests included family, friends, reviewers and journalists as well as fellow authors who were out in force to show their support.
In her speech, Halls’ editor Sophie Orme recalled the excitement she felt the first moment the manuscript for The Familiars landed on her desk and her delight when she found out that Bonnier Zaffre had won the hotly contested auction to publish it.
Halls thanked her agent Juliet Mushens and the team at Bonnier Zaffre as well as her writing group, saying that the book would simply not have been possible without their enduring support.
The Familiars publishes in hardback today with a packed events tour around the country which kicked off last night at Foyles on Charing Cross Road in its Historical Fiction showcase where saw Halls in conversation with Bridget Collins (The Binding) and Sonia Velton (Blackberry and Wild Rose).
