Perfect Cornish series continues, plus a Lake District winter special

Rachel Faulkner-Willcocks, senior commissioning editor at Avon, has bought four more women's fiction books by Phillipa Ashley from Broo Doherty of DHH Literary Agency. Ashley's Perfect Cornish series will continue, alongside a new novel set in the Lakes.

Ashley (pictured) said: "I couldn't be more thrilled that four more of my books will be published by the amazingly energetic Avon team; from the start, they have been incredibly enthusiastic and supportive of my novels and an absolute joy to work with."

Faulkner-Willcocks said: "Phillipa is truly a class act; her heart warming, three-dimensional characters, and evocation of place (particularly her beloved Cornwall) have deservedly won her a legion of fans. As well as continuing the already-bestselling Perfect Cornish series, this new deal will also see a change of direction for Phillipa - a winter standalone set in the stunning Lake District - and I have no doubt it will see her star climb to even loftier peaks."

Doherty said: "Phillipa and I are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with the incredibly professional team at Avon; I have every confidence that they will build Phillipa's readership over all formats attracting many more readers to her novels. It's going to be a fabulous next step in Phillipa’s rising career."
