Neuropsychopharmacologist David Nutt explores the science of alcohol

Lauren Whelan, commissioning editor at Yellow Kite, has signed "a game-changing examination of alcohol, science and our health" by professor of neuropsychopharmacology David Nutt. Yellow Kite has world English rights in Booze Control through Rachel Mills at Rachel Mills Literary, and will publish in January 2020.

Professor Nutt will break down the science and effect of alcohol on our health, body, brain, mood, sleep and productivity, provide insight into the drinks industry in general, and explain what "drinking responsibly" means in real terms. Whelan said: "Professor David Nutt has had a phenomenal career and is hugely well-respected within the medical sciences industry. His ability to make the complex simple and explain vital science we need to know about our health in a captivating way is why I have been a fan of his work for so long... [The book] will cut through the noise and lift the lid on alcohol in a digestible, deeply engaging way at a time when more people than ever before are choosing to examine their drinking habits."
