£50 work edited by Ned Boulting

New publisher the Road Book Ltd has bought out The Road Book, a 1,000-page, £50 work billed as the first almanack of cycling.

The book is edited by author and ITV commentator Ned Boulting, with stats by Cillian Kelly, co-host of the This Week in Cycling podcast. There are articles by leading sports and cycling writers.

Boulting said: "This was an extraordinary year. But in that regard, it was quite normal. We have approached our work at The Road Book with one aim: to pay respect to the year gone by and to all those, in particular, who have turned a pedal in anger. We hope that as you turn the pages you will both learn the fate of a certain rider on a certain day that you did not know about or discover a race you never knew existed."

The book is available from www.theroadbook.co.uk.
