In conversation at Stirling Castle
Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon and author Maggie O'Farrell are to headline Book Week Scotland, which runs from 19 to 25 November. They will be in conversation at 7.30pm on 22 November at Stirling Castle, discussing what being a feminist means to them, and how their reading lives have contributed to their identities.
The event is programmed by Scottish Book Trust in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland (HES).
Representatives from ROAR (Represent, Object, Advocate, Rewrite) will attend the event, seeking consultation on their research into the inequalities in Scottish writing and publishing.
One hundred free tickets and a travel bursary will be available to young women aged 16-25.
