Diane Banks and colleagues offer 'full service' agency
Northbank Talent, the literary and talent agency created from a revamped Diane Banks Associates, held its launch party last night at the RSA in John Adam Street. Banks (right) outlined to guests Northbank's role as a "full service agency", "forward-looking", and not London-centric. In books, Northbank will focus on current affairs, history, science, lifestyle, commercial fiction, and children's/YA.
Banks is ceo, while former HarperCollins editorial director Martin Redfern is executive director, and Luke Johnson, who has provided the backing, is chairman. Guests at the party included Northbank's clients as well as publishers David Shelley (Hachette - pictured below with Diane Banks), Alan Samson (Weidenfeld), Lisa Highton (Two Roads) and Juliet Mabey (Oneworld), Andrew Subramaniam (HW Fisher), and scout Louise Allen-Jones.
