Hay adds events in Peru and Chile

Forum events precede Hay Festival Arequipa

Hay Festival is staging events in two new locations in Latin America tomorrow (7 November). Hay Festival Forum Ayacucho in Peru and Hay Festival Forum Santiago in Chile take place on the eve of Hay Festival Arequipa in Peru (8-11 November).

Hay Festival Forum Ayacucho is based in and around the UNSCH Cultural Center, with a series of panel discussions featuring writers Ana Cristina Herreros, Víctor Tenorio, and Elizabeth Lino; social anthropologist Urbano Munoz; photographer Daniel Mordzinski; screenwriter Lalo Parra; architect Patricia Navarro Grau; and director of the Cultural Group El Tercer Ojo Felipe Lopez. Marking the bicenenary of Peruvian independence, the forum reimagines the Peru of today in a discussion featuring BBC journalist Juan Carlos Perez, indigenous activist Tarcila Rivera, philanthropist Carlos Ananos, and novelist Santiago Roncagliolo. Hay Festival Forum Santiago takes place in Santiago de Chile's San Gines Theater. It features Danish author Janne Teller, British filmmaker Kate Horne, Spanish blogger and journalist Ignacio Escolar, French physicist Christophe Galfard, cosmologist Roberto Emparan, and Chilean journalists María Angelica Bulnes, Monica Gonzalez and Paloma Avila. Among the stars of Hay Festival Arequipa will be Mario Vargas Llosa, Salman Rushdie, Andrea Wulf, and Helen Fielding.
