Entries open for Foyles Young Poets awards

The search is on once again to find the Foyles Young Poets of the Year, open to writers aged 11 to 17 and organised by the Poetry Society. The only nationwide awards of their kind, they seek to 'unearth, promote and support young poetic talent from across the UK'; a successful entrant will be 'someone who questions, explores, delights in or is just simply inspired by' the world. Since the launch of Foyle Young Poets 12 years ago, winners have addressed such issues as terrorism, prejudice and violence.
