Guide to life from Love Island winner coming in April
Assistant editor Michelle Warner and editorial director Sara Cywinski signed World all Language rights from Adam Sutherland at Profile Talent and Caroline Ridley at Money Management. What Would Dani Do? My guide to living your best life, will be published on 4 April 2019.
According to Ebury: "Dani Dyer stole the nation’s heart with her genuine warmth and honest personality when she won Love Island in July 2018. Her first book shows she is wise beyond her years as she shares her experiences around growing up, bullying, relationships, insecurities and being Danny Dyer’s daughter, as well as providing the ultimate insider’s look at the smash hit TV show of the summer.
'Answering questions from "why did Danny give you the same name?" and "who took the longest to get ready in the villa?" to "how can I be more confident?" and "have you ever been to therapy?", What Would Dani Do? takes real fan questions and plenty of personal insight to offer Dani's unique take on the world and her guide to living your best, most authentic life. Always relatable and at times vulnerable, Dani gives a laugh-out-loud and truly heartfelt account of her journey from Canning Town daughter of Danny Dyer, to runaway Love Island winner and the nation’s sweetheart.'
Of the acquisition, Warner said: "We all fell in love watching Dani this summer on Love Island for her bubbly nature, hilarious one-liners and straight-talking advice. What Would Dani Do? is Dani's unique take on life. It is packed full of the advice we all wish we had growing up - and is perfect for those of us still wanting to know how to wash and blow-dry our eyelashes or how to embrace being regular people who love cheese toasties a bit too much."
Dyer said: "My followers are always asking me questions and advice on everything from family to boys to self-confidence. I wanted to put it all down in one place and empower everyone to feel good about themselves - I’ve always got my girls’ backs! Hopefully it will help in some way or at least just make you smile."
The daughter of EastEnders actor and namesake Danny, Dyer won ITV2’s Love Island 2018 with a
landslide 80% of the vote. Trained as an actress, she has appeared in a number of films, including Vendetta (2013), and We Still Kill The Old Way (2014) and is featuring in Nativity! The Musical alongside her father at the Eventim Apollo in London from 19-31 December. Since leaving Love Island, Dyer has launched a best-selling fashion range with In The Style.
